Is it possible to reverse diabetes?

My dads friend has diabetes, he went blind a few weeks ago, and is going to have to get both arms amputated this month, he already is missing both hoe legs

    If these problems were caused by the diabetes, a lot of damage has been done to his body’s microvasculature (tiny blood vessels). That kind of damage you’ve mentioned can’t be fixed. The blindness (if it was caused by diabetes) won’t heal on its own.

    Some of the things he can do to lessen further damage will be to lose weight (if he’s overweight), follow a diabetic diet, limit sugar, exercise if he’s physically able to, and follow up with his doctor to see how well his blood sugar is being managed.
